    These articles really annoy me. Why is this a laudable goal?

    This shift in growing and consuming food more sustainably has become especially important, with up to 783 people facing hunger in 2022, according to the United Nations. Research indicates that if we grew crops exclusively for humans to consume directly we could feed an additional 4 billion people worldwide.

    We need locally sustainable and diverse diets that conform to the culture cuisine of the people producing the food. We don’t need to maximize caloric efficiency of the land world-wide so that we can feed an additional 4billion people. If you want another 4billion people, it’s time to leave earth.
