Request to add option, besides block user, to block community when pressing the 3 dots on feed
There’s a ticket i have for this
Please! Blocking all the 1000 porn from like two instances on multiple accounts has me drinking heavily
Got to rehydrate after losing that much fluid.
That actually made me laugh lol
Seriously though, nothing like minding your own business death scrolling only to come across some weird ass furry porn or a nice huge gape. Really makes the experience 5 star.
It’s like playing a weird version of Russian roulette. Might be a spectacular set of tits, might be a gape.
These are exciting times we live in
And even if you have NSFW blurred and blocked it doesn’t block the community’s icon. So you won’t see the porn itself but you will see a big gaping anus in the thumbnail.
You know you can blur and/or hide nsfw posts right?
I don’t care about blurring all nsfw stuff though. Just the sexual ones that make me take a step back and wonder if the internet was actually a good invention
You can block the instances now in Settings -> Filters if you know the instance name. We already have the functionality, i just need to add a button in the context menu to do it from the feed.
So I’ve done this a few times and it looks like blocking the instances resets whenever I load Memmy. I’m not changing accounts either
Hey, thanks for adding the instance blocking option. Sadly it doesn’t seem to hold through restarts, it just loses anything I put in there.
Yea we are trying to figure out why
Sorry, you’ve probably had a deluge of the same comment. Thanks for the great work!
Thank you so much for your work. This app is amazing and this feature is literally all that’s missing for me.
Thanks for creating such a beautiful app :)
Much appreciated!!
Second this
I think this is something that should be implemented by the lemmy platform as a whole instead of being a functionality for lemmy apps.
Agreed. I really don’t want porn communities in my feed. As far as I know the only way to block a community is to open the community then block it. It would be great if I could block it without having to open it in the first place.
