That is someone applying imperial system logic to the metric system. No one in their right mind uses fractions to describe 15cm.

Kagi is amazing. I absolutely love its’ filtering features and I use that forums toggle all the time. It feels like such a more relevant experience for me. I tried it out with the 300 searches limit, but that wasn’t even close to enough, turns out I easily use 4 times that in a month and even though it’s not cheap it feels like it’s worth it.
There always has to be at least one asshole, but that is everywhere you go on the internet. Just downvote, block if you want and move on.
Because there’s only so many vegetables and so many ways inspiration will help you on how to prepare them. Especially if you care about protein intake, it can be quite a challenge with just vegetables.
Plus that’s a can that lasts forever and is easy to transport.
I like variation, protein and ease of use. I’ll take 3 please and thank you.
Visualizing it like this makes it so clear how incredibly outdated this design is.
Found the trump supporter.
I literally swatted a mosquito the other day because it bit me while I was doing something else. I didn’t feel it land, but I did feel the bite which triggered me to slap it out of existence.
That would mean when they bite you during the night when they can take their sweet time, you would wake up with no itchiness, but that’s not the case for me.
There’s no idication that he’s AI. People are allowed to have opinions you don’t agree with.
How can you tell?
This is not ad-blocking related. The search results on YouTube are literal trash and there’s nothing we can do about it.
Kagi has all these options as well but everything can be disabled in the settings.
Climate Town absolute banger. Love that guy!
Vinyl uses a metal rod to poke the grooves in the disk like a blind caveman.
CD uses friking lasers like it’s superman and spins that fucker until it warps.
What is that magic number?
Making the internet usable again. Without this and ublock, I might quit the whole thing.
I had an ipad pro and it was an awful experience for me. Lack of customizations I deem normal, lack of real choice, limitations at every step. The walled garden felt hostile to me, the user. I sold it and got a Samsung tablet instead and it’s been perfect. The only thing missing is procreate, but I have alternatives that do 99% of what I wanted.
It used to be done a lot more before and some places still do it in Europe. You return the glass bottle intact, they reuse it as is. Only carbon spent is in transporting it.
If it’s true that younger folks are more tech illiterate then Lemmy would be a non starter for them because it’s more complicated to understand and use compared to centralized services.
No idea about privilege, but when I was struggling to find a job, that was a lesson I learned as well. Instead of applying only to 100% fit which is what I was doing, I started applying to the 50% and everything in between. This increased my chances of talking to someone at least, but also increased the amount of work I had to put in applying to everything. But just like in sales, after you get that first call, the chances of getting somewhere are much higher, so some things have to get flexible to make it happen.
