This is both sad from the perspective that it was the last time and nice from the perspective that during that last time, I wasn’t bogged down with that knowledge and was able to enjoy it for what it was at the time.
In my opinion it’s a needless extra step. I have had my card number compromised before and it was very little hassle to get a new card and my out of pocket was $0. Debit cards would be a completely different discussion however.
Holodeck, then charge exorbitant rates for use by others then fund figuring out how to make a replicator. But seriously they would both be really cool.
Mostly thinking impersonation, spamming, deletion or modification of history…. Although I’m sure there are probably other reasons too.

Hacking an account is still a valid concern though for various reasons , and hashes can still be used against password lists. Additionally, Two factor authentication is a necessity for sure. Now don’t get me wrong, I completely understand this feature is coming and that this is a developing service but many of these concerns do seem valid to me.
