StumbleUpon was the best. I do miss it.
If it’s written according to standards of any sort, then research it first as it should have been explained already and if it isn’t, they just expect you to know. If it’s some form of casual writing that isn’t structured that well, then you might need to look for contextual clues in the original text first, and then search them up together for more insights.
To add to this – Cory Doctorow, the very guy who coined the term “enshittification,” has written about how this. (Been meaning to read some of his books to see his explanations on how to fight it but I’m still getting through another book right now so I’ve only seen vids and read a sample.)
I feel like that would make me some edgy child, messing around with legos or playdough.
I’ve found it can also be cheaper to place the order by phone than by an online ordering (middleman) service.
