Oh good I still haven’t upgraded from the last generation. I may just skip this one at this point, the only games I feel like I’m missing out on are the new Spider-Man and the unreleased GTA VI

It’s time for a new console generation already?
I edited the “are” to “were.” Hope that helps the misunderstanding of my comment.
ANOTHER ONE that can’t fucking read? 🙄
Note the, “I wish” part
I edited “are” to “were.” I don’t know if that will help or not.
Did you miss the “I wish” part. Jesus, settle down keyboard warrior.
I agree with you both. I wish we would stop hearing about them because trans rights were no longer under attack.
You must be younger than me. I grew up in the 90s and the Sega/Nintendo rivalry was intense.
I think it was the SNES/Genesis era when “who has the better graphics” started to matter.
At the time, I was actually of the opinion that the N64 was a step down from the SNES. Sure the graphics were 3D, but they looked like shit even then. Nintendo really fucked up by sticking with cartridges that generation.
I’m with ya. When it’s gaming time, I just want it to work. I don’t want to be fiddling with settings constantly.
That being said, I do prefer RPGs and RTSs much more with a keyboard and mouse, so I’ll usually play those on my computer, but that’s not such a problem any more with keyboard and mouse being supported by consoles.
Nah, it was Coleco/Atari - Coleco lost
Then Nintendo/Atari - Atari lost
Then Sega/Nintendo
Then Sega/Nintendo/Sony - Sega lost
Then Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft - Nintendo lost, but pivoted to play a different game.
Then you can throw things in there like 3DO and Jaguar Turbo FX, but they didn’t do so got to be considered contenders in the “war”
You should complain. We’re all getting ripped off.
I didn’t need to get completely sober (I smoke pot still and have the occasional drink; I had issues with much harder drugs and as they say, “recovery looks different for everyone!”
Anyway, this is so true. It’s like… what did I used to like doing before I started getting fucked up all the time?
Well, I got back in to an online game I hadn’t played in 24 years (and didn’t know was still going!), I’m big in to riding my bicycle, reading comics, almost like being a kid again.
The grownup hobby I’m still doing is maintaining and riding my motorcycle around. However, I do it by myself now because all my old riding buddies were definitely not clean. Also, riding motorcycles is an excellent exercise in mindfulness.
I had to cut a lot of people out of my life. I’m still very lonely sometimes, but keeping busy with these things is so helpful. I’m also trying my hand at DMing a D&D campaign with a bunch of sober people, so that will help. We’re due to start next week. :)
I went back to school and am 5 years since I last did my problem-drug and 3 years in to a new career that is…. going. 😆
You’re working really hard to misunderstand me.
People are allowed opinions, dude.
Here’s a tip if you actually want to have a discussion: ask why people feel the way they do about something instead of telling them they’re wrong for it.
🙄
I literally described what I would like from new trek. Have fun arguing with yourself.
No it wasn’t. It was another show built on nostalgia, which I specifically mentioned being tired of.
I did enjoy season 3 though.
No shit.
I’m so tired of every project being built on nostalgia.
Strange New Worlds is so close to what I want from new Trek. I want that show, but on a new ship and a new crew set post-DS9.
Probably by taking down the companies doing it rather than the people using them. Just set up an account and ask around for where to buy some likes.
But if you’re travelling in the opposite direction of the rotation of the earth - east, I think; I’m having a hard time visualizing which way that would be - wouldn’t you be moving more slowly than everything around you?
I updated my iPhone 15 and 2018 mini just fine. Favourite features so far:
-Coloured dots in the calendar!
-RCS stopping that annoying “<person> liked <entire message you just sent>” text message
-iPhone mirroring on my Mac is pretty neat
