I’m not sure how I did it but, my steam opens in windowed mode, It might be grandfathered from the previous UI though cause I don’t see where I could have set that up.

so far I’ve seen some bots post articles that setup some pretty decent conversation. I am slightly annoyed that it floods but, I just keep my sorting by stuff that’s hot and it’s usually good.
yea that was my next question, if the title was actually available in the country selected, I had that issue with Netflix searches constantly
oh sorry if I was unclear, yea since it’s still a different account I would need to login when I change regions as well, I can’t change halfway through.
that’s similar to how I do it, change the region and then pay, but some items I’ve noticed block sale if the originating payment method is in a different region
Aside from device ID, or maybe if you’re using a billing address as something from Australia, I can’t see how they would be, you’ve stated location services are off, VPN will mask the ip.
I didn’t even need to use a VPN in my cases between Canada and the US, changing to an account that was in the region that allowed the purchase was all I had to do.
That being said if I changed my Canada account to use the billing address of my US residence instead of my Canadian residence when on the Canadian region, I would get region locked I found, so if you have a primary payment method on file using your AU address you could try temporarily removing or modifying it to have a different address
As someone who jumps between the US and Canada (since on the border) I’ve found that, Amazon will block purchases from Canada to the US and visa versa, it doesn’t care about ip, it uses your accounts region, Canada and US have seperate regions in your account settings that you need to do. Sadly this means you would need two different accounts. One for CA and one for US. It’s likely the same deal with audible
the new steam sucks hardcore. I hate everything to do with it. It’s buggy, it lags, you can’t use themes, it crashes randomly, it memory leaks. Heck it was suck bad performance that they pushed the beta back multiple times before finally releasing it and its still not ready.
my door doesn’t close fully, so I close it all but the crack that is forced. I do this because people in the house are up and down constantly, and my sleep schedule would bd interrupted if I left it open.
ok, let me clarify. Obscenity is not protected under the first amendment. Accidental gore/maiming is maybe allowed, at most it’s a grey area until its concidered obscene, however once it hits the obscenity level the supreme court has declared that it is a violation of federal law and therefore illegal. It’s a huge reason that many sites actively take the content down and have it against TOS. Most enforcement/regulation with the standing is generally in relation to minors, but it isn’t exclusive to minors.
Considering a lot of gore content is illegal in places such as the US, it’s possible they the tag doesn’t exist anymore on most places to avoid promoting the content.
I’ve been told if you do all four insurance might be more apt to cover it, best to do one to three of them that way it might not be covered
I hope someone with an old rust bucket parks in one of those driver spaces
fully agree, I dislike light mode but the true black dark modes hurt just the same after extended periods, grey mode somewhat like how discord has it hopefully turns into standard for dark mode styles instead of OLED style dark modes
I can’t disprove any findings that the article never claims. I just read through all three of those. That was the biggest waste of time I did today.
Nothing in those articles stated any evidence or facts(article 2 doesn’t even talk about dark mode past the first paragraph btw, it transitions into blue light and calling it dark mode). Nothing was peer-reviewed. None of them even took a side.
That being said, I decided to do some research of my own on the college portal, it doesn’t seem like there is much actual research on the matter period. The closest thing I could find is a study indicating that usage of dark mode can cause you to be more honest, which i have saved to read later because that sounds interesting.
What I do know is, I could barely read article 1 and 3 due to the text on the screen. I actually have a headache from the strain of the black text on white background. I really don’t understand how people can do that. Like sure white text on black screen can be a pain at times as well but, at least it doesn’t give me a headache. It’s not like dark mode implementations are white on black, most of them are a white on grey or a grey on black to allow for a lesser adjustment, it’s OLED themes that do pitch black with white text. I can do dark theme any day, my eyes hurt with OLED themes
It’s not just the tab s8, I have a tab s7 and it’s super bright and obnoxiously loud even at the lowest settings. I don’t understand why there is not more control over it.
I was going to make a comment then I noticed the community. I agree you found a really unpopular opinion. I expect the downvoters are ones who didn’t realize the community you posted to.
That being said, it’s still early on, I’m hoping it stays alive. I miss some of the nitche communities as well but, a good portion did somewhat migrate, you just need to reach out and sub to them cause it doesn’t show them very well.
that you can not! lol Thankfully theres ton’s of options. I personally couldn’t get into having communities be called magazines, I found it confusing to find what I wanted then I moved to lemmy and then it was somewhat re-enforced the decision when it was stated that the instance was being de-federated from some instances so I sorta just stayed.
both depending on area and what I use for cleaning (body wash vs soap)
this is gold
