ooblets is one of my favorite in this genre. it’s got a great soundtrack, the humor is spot-on, and it’s got an anti-capitalist message.

the original resident evil. couldn’t even get through the first 15 minutes before i threw the controller across the room. i don’t play scary games anymore, but i love watching other people play!

silent hill was super fun to watch.

also: give them good things to bite! i always had toys handy when i had my puppy. (i do not miss those days.)

my dad bought a switch for his wife recently. neither one of them are “gamers.” i think they only play mario kart!

i’ve poured hours upon hours into this game. it’s just a chill game (if you want it to be), and it’s fun to keep track of stuff to collect, talk to the NPCs, and go fight some baddies occasionally.

an e-bike on the road/path will give more exercise than an acoustic bike gathering dust in the garage/basement. ;)

some of us are (very) slow drinkers but still want hot coffee. i usually make my coffee at 9am and don’t finish it until just before noon.

granted, i don’t have one of these tumblers. i do make my coffee in one of their camping french press thingies though, then move it to a different thermos vessel for drinking.

i grew up in a very rural place (my parents’ land was literally a cornfield before we put a house on it, and every other neighbor was also a cornfield). i don’t miss the reliance on cars, the racist culture, or the loose dogs who bit me. but boy howdy i do miss trail riding on our property and being able to see all the stars at night. i’ve been a city dweller since i was 15 (35 now), and i can’t imagine going back to rural life.

these are more rock than chiptune, but very much video game inspired!

i’ll never understand why cat owners think it’s totally fine to let their cats run all around the neighborhood unchecked. my sister does this with her cat, claiming the cat is street smart about cars??? infuriating to say the least.
