In my opinion, the probable burnout isn’t worth it. Burnout is like a heat injury, once you get it you become more susceptible to it for a time. I recommend maintaining a healthy work-freetime balance now so you know how to do it in the future.

I waited for a train for the first in years the other day and every third connex was a dark gray Amazon box with the blue smile. It felt surreal and utterly dystopian cyberpunk
But Black Dynamite, I possess souls in the community
Who the hell is interrupting my kung fu?
I fucked around with dozens of these trying to get my steam linked email changed, only to find out it’s virtually impossible. Then I sent an email to the support line explaining why I’m never buying another Rockstar game.
Classic. I remember when I saw this the first time. I was browsing imgur during a calc lecture instead of learning any calculus

I read those stories like 20 years ago. Good to see them coming up again! Is he still writing?
Try the Expanse series. It’s long and very well done, but you can tune in and out and still get the story.
The Andy Serkis narration felt like watching the movies again, but with hours of bonus content, which is also the original content
Objects in mirror less attractive than they appear.
Honest typo. I keep using the swipe keyboard even though it sucks
I honestly have no idea if there are pictures because I listened to it, but it does have a pretty accessible breakdown of their anatomy, physiology, and evolutionary biology. Like David Attenborough, but with more words instead of video, and more of the author’s story.
Check out the book (or audiobook) Endless Forms by Seirian Sumner! It’s a fascinating exploration of the different kinds of wasps and their role in their environments. For example, some figs can only be polite (typo: pollinated) but a certain species of wasp and some wasps use antibacterial compounds to coat their nests.
I tried to read the Fountainhead twice when I was a teenager and I never got more than a third of the way. It felt like watching an old person try to remember their shopping list
This is exactly why I love Lemmy. I noticed it within hours of quitting reddit. The sheer volume of content on Reddit, plus the algorithms, kept my attention for hours. Lemmy just isn’t that big and probably 60% of the content I see is in swedish, gerrman, or dutch, which I can’t read, so I spend like 15 or 20 minutes max here and then go do something else.
The best Indian food I had was at a place in St Petersburg Florida on the first floor of an otherwise empty office building. We could smell the curry from the parking lot while still inside the car
