No, surprisingly.
Progenitor of the Weird Knife Wednesday feature column. Is “column” the right word? Anyway, apparently I also coined the Very Specific Object nomenclature now sporadically used in the 3D printing community. Yeah, that was me. This must be how Cory Doctorow feels all the time these days.
No, surprisingly.
For grins just now I scrolled through ten (10) pages on “all” (i.e. including federated and not just local lemmy.world posts) and sorted by “hot” (the default).
I got one MurderMoe post, one ChainsawFolk post, and one TouhouProject post.
…And about ten linuxmemes posts, I didn’t even count how many politics posts, several TenForward posts, like five Lemmy Shitposts entries, quite a few News and World news, and three inscrutable posts in Arabic despite by content language being set to English.
Barely a single pair of anime tiddies among the whole lot. What a drag.
?
I don’t see any anime subs by default just browsing the lemmy.world all page when sorted by hot, active, scaled, or new. So what exactly are you doing, and where do I sign up?
People are going to see this, so here’s the answer.
Logitech’s web UI is crap. See that tiny, unlabled triangle on the list on the left?
Click it and pick your OS version.
Then you get the download.
Yeah, you’re totally allowed to cuss on the internet.
I just checked and using the default Lemmy UI (on desktop) you totally can block communities you’re banned from. I’m pretty sure what we’re looking at must be some kind of UI/front end bug.
Is that something regular moderators can do…?
Not that I particularly care, but I moderate three communities on here and none of the tools available to me show who downvoted what. Exposing that type of info with that type of granularity feels like a bad idea to me; the sort of thing that is just begging to invite some sort of abuse.
Ceramics are a broad class of materials with a wide spectrum of properties. There is no one singular material called “ceramic.” Ceramic materials can be made smooth and slippery or textured and grippy, and everywhere in between.
…Nnnnno, there is literally a tool from Logitech called “Logitech Unifying Software,” which is the applet you need to reassign a Logitech Unifying receiver to a different device.

I guarantee you the bibles in question are provided by some local (private) fundamentalist organization. There’s no way the prison is spending its own money on that. So then you’ve got to look at who is the biggest group of religion-peddlers to find your most likely source.
In America at present, the various Christianity-adjacent sects are basically the only religious groups out proselytizing in any significant numbers. I suspect that compared to the Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses and Seventh Day Aventists, and assorted Evangelical/Baptist types, everyone else is basically just a rounding error.
If experience is any judge, plenty of dudes go into prison and come out Muslim. So Allah must still find them somehow.
As somewhat of a retro '90’s-2000’s electronics collecting nerd, this stuff is the bane of my existence.
It seems like in the early 2000’s there were only three types of finishes applied to electronics products:
You just can’t win.
I rather think it’s plausible Jesus was a figurehead with the (already by then well established) messianic archetype applied to him who was hyped up by some Judeans as propaganda to incite their people to try to cast off their Roman rule. But then the notion really got out of hand some time after the original context was lost.
Given the prior number of Jewish prophets and messiah claimants (not to mention Apollonius of Tyana who also readily leaps to mind) there were probably several attempts at this, but only one made it to this level of popularity.
The article also implies it will be hydrogen based, so I’m predicting the answers to your questions will be, in order: Not much, irrelevant, and a lot.
If you have a Dremel, grind a slot into it and unscrew it.
This has saved my ass many times. I keep one of those diamond coated wheels on a spare cutoff mandrel already mounted up pretty much specifically for this purpose.
Harbor Freight has a pretty cheap left handed drill bit set that is sometimes a lifesaver in these situations. Many times I just start drilling it with the left hand bit and often the bit grabs and unscrews the screw before even getting to the phase of trying the screw extractor on it. Sometimes not.
Maple leaves are pretty recognizable. There’s a whole entire country that’s got one on its flag.
Well, in that your upvote total and ratio can be calculated, at least. Does it actually do anything, or can it do anything, like it did on reddit? Subs having minimum karma thresholds, that sort of thing? If not, it’s truly meaningless and can be safely ignored by everyone.
That’s what I do.
There might be something to this. I went and checked just now, prompted by a your comment, and I found a handful (like, six) comments from ages ago on reddit that did not get torched when I did my mass edit-and-delete, somehow. I found these mostly because some punters found them and necroposted on those threads, so I have notifications regarding them.
I found a few more and deleted those by hand, too. Most of them were from the same sub, so that sub was probably locked when I did my mass delete.
It never has been, and if it ever were we wouldn’t have needed all those statues of the chick with the scales and the blindfold as propaganda.
