  • This is such a bad faith comment. Im not a hexbear user but my instance is federated with them and ive interacted with lots of their posts. Go into any post on hexbear and youll see tons of examples of them disagreeing WITH EACHOTHER. they commonly have huge arguments in the comments and as long as everyone is civil and not arguing in bad faith noone gets banned and noone gets urt feelings. Stop lying and using hexbear as the lemmy boogeyman because its a bad look.

So if you had no soap available and shit on your arm, what would you use? Only paper? Or water? Your argument is fucking stupid. Of course people have different standards of cleanliness but the guy who doesnt clean his ass at all also has a different standard of cleanliness, and his standard is fucking disgusting.

  • I mean the way I’ve seen it in a lot of grocery stores is there is a separate, often walk in cooler for single cans/small cases of imports or more specialty beers, and then an aisle with big cases of the common beers that arent cold. I’ve also seen a store where half the aisle was stand up refrigerated shelves and half was unrefridgerated for the bigger cases, which I assume is happening here.

  • Except you’ve already had 5 hours of your body metabolizing caffeine, so the effects of the remaining half a dose after 5 hours aren’t nearly the same as if you took that half a dose after a night’s sleep and not having had any. Your body becomes accustomed to it. That’s how all drugs work. You can take 6 grams of mushrooms and it’ll definitely still be in your system after 6 hours, but the effects won’t be the same as taking 3 grams straight up, it will have almost entirely worn off despite the residual psilocybin in your body.

  • Dictation in some cases sure, but it’s not really secure if you’re around people, and could also get weird talking to air all the time. I think if ar/wearable screens really want to take off were going to need an entirely new input method. Typing on a virtual keyboard is just so impractical, especially if you’re say on a train or something. I think it’ll be something like what I described, a lightweight wearable glove or fingertip sensor or something, and you input based on fingertip taps. You can keep your hands down by your sides while typing, don’t have to flail about in the air just to quickly google something or answer the text that popped up on your glasses. Or a physical little keypad that can slip in your pocket, but with few enough buttons that you can type without having to look at it, like t9 texting.

  • They use the small papers and just leave a tiny little space at the end where the filter would usually go, and it just gets all smashed down and soggy. That’s why people used to use “roach clips” because the end of the joint would be a soggy, tarry mess that you couldn’t hold on to. I don’t know why anyone who’s ever smoked one of those shitty little joints would ever insist they’re superior to one with a cardboard filter in any way.
