So where do you go for tech advice, niche hobbies and obscure activities?
No different than the Amazon Echo devices, Google Assisstant hardware and other such devices being sold at a loss just to squeeze all that juicy data.
And people willingly put these spyware always on mic devices in their homes.
We need more awareness on privacy…
Hey, it"s not bad if it’s the US doing it… freedom for everyone
EternalBlue says hi
When you put out photos of yourself on the internet you should expect anyone to find them and do whatever they want to them. If you aren’t expecting that, then you aren’t educated enough on how internet works and that’s what we should be working on. Social media is really bad for privacy and many people are not aware of it.
Now if someone took a picture of you and then edited it without your consent, that is a different action and it’s a lot more serious offense.
Either way, deepfakes are just an evolution of something that already existed before and isn’t going away anytime soon.
You know you are in some deep shit when the answer for a math question is no longer just numbers
Yeah, looks like the mobile web version of youtube, but on desktop.
Aren’t these *arr software using public trackers? If that is the case I recommend private trackers. A lot more reliable with a better database. Also some allow you to create re-seed requests for dead torrents.
It’s not like you throw the cup straight in though. Just open the door slightly and bring the mug close. The metal will conduct the heat well and considering that water has a pretty decent heat capacity it won’t blow up instantly.
Nah, water wouldn’t vaporize instantly, it takes a while. But the mug would definetly crack from thermal shock. Unless it would be a metal mug in which case it might work. The coffee would probably be boiling in seconds.
Don’t worry, u ain’t missing much, only crap heatspreaders that make heat transfer horrible, huge post times due to memory training… Fun times
That’s fine, the cat is an asshole anyway. I know that as I’ve always had cats. They are evil… Evil… Fluffy… Assholes.
Not all IoT is bad… If you decide to get some cloud IoT and keep it on the main network that’s on you, but you could have a separate vlan or even a separate protocol like zigbee and z-wave to secure these devices and control them locally with home assistant. It might not be good enough for highly sensitive enterprise environments, but more than enough for average Joe who’s not being targeted by APTs or espionage
Yup, shows up just fine on eternity
Not American myself, but I can think of a few factors besides meat:
Nutrition alone won’t get you to 100. Having a diverse diet keeps ypu healty, but there are many factors that impact health. I do agree that meat is overused in general population, but can’t really force the vegan/vegetarian lifestyle onto an omnivore specie.
I found cheaper options too, but decided to go with ikea because they offer replacement ceramic cartrige which is apparently the only thing that can break on these mixers.
Europe is not one homogenous continent. Here in Europe where I am they are not common, and I’ve been to at least 2 other countries here in Euorpe where these mixers were not common.
I got a thermostatic shower mixer from ikea and it’s awsome. Just set your preffered temp and it will make sure it stays that way. It wasn’t even that expensive. I wish more people knew about it.
I umderstand your reasoning and I sure hope the fediverse will succeed. I doubt the normies will come over any time soon, but that is not really a bad thing. What is bad tho, is the fragmentation of data over so many instances, duplicate communities not knowing about each other and the censorship some instances apply. I don’t even know how some of these will get fixed or if they will ever, as they are core part of a decentralized architecture. I miss infinity tho, eternity for lemmy worked for a while but it’s no longer maintained :(
