Every other post in my feed is similar. What is happening?

The main reason that outsourcing is cheaper is that foreign countries don’t have safety or labor standards.

All the progress that unions made suddenly evaporated when we allowed employers to hire foreign companies with lower safety and labor standards.

Now, maybe we should just accept that economic competition and economic competitiveness demand including those unprotected workforces. Fine. For third-world countries, even exploitative factory jobs might be preferable to alternatives.

If we accept that that’s the case, is still unjust for business owners to reap the rewards of circumventing labor and safety standards while American workers lose jobs and have their wages depressed.

Every single cent of outsourcing profit should be taxed at 100 percent, and redistributed to American workers through government programs or tax cuts for workers.

We could have used that attitude when he handed the election to Bush. I guess it only took a Republican war of choice and a catastrophic economic collapse to make him realize that no, Democrats and Republicans aren’t essentially the same.

It would be the exact same character, except wearing a MAGA hat.

That there wasn’t a single mainstream Republican who stood up to Trump during his presidency.

We’re supposed to believe that EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN in government went from taking about how unfit Trump was when he was a candidate … to standing behind him 100% even when he cozied up to Russia, paid hush money to a porn star, and lied about a Presidential election?

When Democrats have control we get worker protections, affordable healthcare, civil rights protections, infrastructure investments, etc.

When Republicans are in charge we get nothing but corruption.

How can Republicans be on the wrong side of EVERY issue?

I just use TurboTax, which asks you questions in order to generate your return, and automatically integrates with most online accounts. There are free alternatives, too.

I mean, I’d be very bored with that content, so I’d see it more as getting paid 10k to stop consuming media for a year.

It would be a good excuse to do more writing, and getting out and socializing.

I honestly think that music did more to hurt the show than anything else. It was the musical equivalent of starting EVERY EPISODE with a voiceover saying: “we hate all that old star trek. This is the new WB Network Star Trek, with 70% more down home, Midwestern American values! Yeehaw!”

Like people don’t lose their saving in the market anyway? But when your 401k goes in the tank, your broker doesn’t have the legal obligation to fund your retirement.

401k plans are a scam not because of what they are, but what they replaced.

Companies used to offer pensions. These were retirement benefits that were handled by the company, and the company bore the risk of underperforming markets.

For a number of reasons, pensions were much better for workers. Now, only some unionized workers get them.

Boomers vote because they are already registered, know where to go, have transportation, have time to do it. They can go out the door on election day and just get it done.

Younger people, especially college age, aren’t registered in the states they live in, have no idea how to get registered, have to go through a much more complicated process of absentee voting, and have to do much of these things well in advance. They are less likely to have transportation, or a schedule that allows them to do it.

Oh, and most importantly, we haven’t given young people a candidate to get excited about in a general election in at least 40 years

If Democrats wanted to harness the power of young voters, they needed to give them Bernie.

Instead we got aptly-named Sleepy Joe.

Now we got what Boomers wanted: Bidenomics. Everyone claims Bidenomics is going well, but young people can’t afford their loans, healthcare, childcare, or rent. So what’s with all the cork-popping.

The fact is, were a nation in absolute crisis, and Democrat Boomers absolutely will not acknowledge it. They got their SUVs, stock portfolios, social security, houses, pensions, and medicare. So fuck everyone else.
