What is “best experience” though? It’s such a subjective thing. For you it might be pushing a lever back and forth. For every one person like you, I bet there are hundreds who’d rather leave that menial task to the car. Manual transmission can quickly stop being “fun and engaging” and become a chore, especially if you drive through traffic regularly.
I, or rather my left leg, personally do not consider manual transmission as a good experience at all. I also think paying much less for fuel is also a very good experience for my wallet. Though of course I don’t drive a Lamborghini or even a nice M4, so there’s that.
Plenty of brands stopped offering manual variants of plenty of models. IIRC BMW practically begged people to stop asking for manual variants, saying it just does not make any sense to mess with the supply chain and the production line and the car itself just to put an objectively inferior transmission inside it.
Phones routinely look for specific SSIDs by their names. Imagine you’re strolling through a mall while your appearance changes every 2 seconds, but you keep yelling out the names of 5 other peoole. I still think the overly hip-hop-y style looks weird in the context of Olympics though. Contestants with funky nicknames, and presenters waving their arms while grabbing their crotch like it’s a rap concert don’t scream “prestigious international event that involves thousands of top tier athletes” to me. Though I guess it might be because I’m not used to it.

It’s not an issue though, from what you’re describing. People have control over their playlists. If that dude wanted to put that stupid video there, then that’s his prerogative. YouTube can’t “fix” that because a user doing whatever they want with their playlist is not an issue.

In short I find the “just use git itself lmao” to be an exceedingly weird thing to say and I find it even weirder that it gets said as often as it does and it gets upvoted so much. Git by itself is not very useful at all if there are more than one a half people working on the same code.

One day I was in Hannover on holiday. We were walking on a nice street somewhere when this weirdly beautiful pigeon landed on the ground right in front of me. It was a really gorgeous bird. An unusually pretty pigeon. And it landed in front of me almost intentionally as if to stop me. I stopped my friend who was walking alongside me, pointed at the bird and said “wow look at that beautiful pi-”. Right at that moment, the winged rat looked me straight in the eyes, took a big runny shit on the ground, and fucked off. The end.
Does the kernel even have that functionality built into it? I thought it only mapped the raw data from the keyboard into actual key presses, but nothing more. That is to say it’s the kernel that determines the ctrl and z keys are being pressed, but it’s something higher on the stack that determines what to do with that information. Could be wrong, though.
For some reason that’s a very common thing among websites where I shop for 3d printing and electronics supplies. It’s infuriating because it forces me to cycle through all the tabs to find a specific one instead of just reading it off the god damn tab title. A gross misuse of valuable screen real estate that’s normally expected to display useful information. Fuck you.
