There have been nuclear scares before, and the goodness of man has often prevented them. Famously, during the cold war, Russian computers erroneously detected a US missile launch, and despite being ordered to retaliate, Stanislav Petrov correctly deduced it was an error and did not launch.

Just watched a man inmolate himself with his own two eyes. I can’t imagine there was much of a thought process at all. Real life is not the same as a video. It’s relatively easy to watch something through a lens after the fact and talk about what makes sense and what doesn’t. In the moment, guy was having some intense trauma happening right in front of his eyes and trying to do his best in the moment.

Levying valid criticism on someone is not scapegoating. You can criticize more than one person for the same thing.
I like Natalie, but also it’s possible to criticize someone (Swift) while also acknowledging that they aren’t the one doing the most harm.
