In my environment alone they will be loosing upwards of 3,500 dollars yearly, 700,000 if I can convince my boss to dump them for the company as well.
And move to what?
Do you know if I need to reconfigure my folders?
I guess if the transition is not smooth there is still time for them to adapt something until the very end…
On another hand, it seems like we all deposited all our eggs in one basket huh?
I really can’t think of many Synching replacements… Even when I know there are a few.
Do people really use VLC to listen to music?
DNS challenge? It is the 1st time I read about it.
I suppose in your LAN you need no VPNs then?
Hmm, interesting, how would I start doing this?
I use a Synology NAS BTW, so it already gives me a Synology subdomain to mess around.
A VPN? you still need a reverse proxy/domain to use it don’t you?
So… Can it do gaming?
Why being on Lemmy when we could pick a guitar?
You are right.
Even if YT Premium was cheap AF, I wouldn’t pay for it because:
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection in my Nintendo Switch.
I was hesitant about playing it as a collection/remake as I already have the game loaded in my DS with the fan translation (at least I skipped the complaints about the change of the character names 😆), and I have played all the prior Ace Attorney games in DS/3DS and I am much more a handheld user than a console user, but I have been liking the improvements that the remake has, and playing it in the big TV has been pretty comfortable for me with this title, perhaps the bigger screen for text is the best reason.
LMAO, no thanks, but I appreciate you sharing with me those communities (I didn’t know them).
I might try it more often, usually it is just a spam of memes for me, and for that I use other apps 😅
I’d suppose that, but so far all people that have replied to me say otherwise 😅
Wdym? I am pretty sure it shows stuff from diverse instances.
That is fair, browsing my subbed subreddits for more than 10 years was my way to go for Reddit (Reddit was my replacement for Feedly, basically, so I am used to curating my stuff).
Maybe that is why, aside from the APIcalypse I don’t have a grudge against Reddit, and I missed some huge drama shit and toxic bs that you’d find in r/All (spam, bots and reposts too).
Well, that is nice the trending communities community used to do that for me though.
I follow more than 800 communities, I never finish up my backlog feed 🤣 (but I do see a lot of repeated content for sure).
Yeah totally agree with this, macOS is way more efficient than Windows, so 8 GB doesn’t feel like utter shit, I would expect it to be similar to Linux with the same amount.
My main MacBook Pro has 16 GB of RAM so for my usage that never is a problem, but my gf got a M1 MacBook Air with 8 GB and we both use it from time to time, and it is snappy and the RAM is never an issue, even if the machine never goes off lol.
