I’m 99% sure it’s 26,000lbs at least for a straight truck non combination.

Depending on your transcoding needs you might not even need it for that.
I have a proxbox with a R5 4600G even under extreme loads the stock cooler is fine. Honestly once prox is setup you don’t need a GPU. The video output of proxmox is just a terminal (Debian) so as long as things are running normally you can do everything through the web interface even without the gpu. I do highly recommend a second GPU (either a G series CPU or a cheap GPU) if you want to try proxmox GPU passthrough. I’ve done it and can say it is extremely difficult to get working reliably with just a single GPU.
I’ll freely admit to skimming a bit but yes proxmox can run trunas inside of it. Proxmox is powerful but might be a little frustrating to learn at first. For example by default proxmox expects to use the boot drive for itself and it’s not immediately clear how to change that to use that disk for other things.
The noctua dh-15 is overkill for that cpu btw unless you’re doing an overclock which I wouldn’t recommend for server use. What’s your plans for the 1060? If using proxmox you’ll want to get one of the “G” series AMD CPUs do that proxmox binds to the apu and then you should be able to do gpu passthrough on the 1060.
I’ve been using Kagi for 3 months now I think? And I’ve found it to be extremely useful for research…to a point, my only real issue is that after the first or so series of results it either doesn’t offer anything further or just no longer is showing relevant results to my search. Honestly though I’ve been very happy with Kagi and continue to pay the 10/month but if I do find something even better I’d happily switch. I’m not married to any particular search engine (well …least not to the extent of using Google services).
If you’re skeptical just give it a try I think they have a trial system in place.
Clearly the universe decided you needed to listen to Freebird lol
Half the battle with headphones tends to be isolation. If you have decent sounding speakers but bad isolation you have mediocre at best headphones. Typically replacing the ear cups can be an option but adding speakers likely won’t yield additional quality. Unfortunately if the speakers that already are in the headphones aren’t up to snuff there won’t be a whole lot you can do. It’s important to make sure we’re talking about the actual headphones though and not the audio amplifier or the source audio.
The tshirt says “monster fucker” so the person is saying “I’d fuck that” to which the biblically accurate angel is saying “ew” in reply to.
To bring the whole thing back in one big circle you can buy a USB to serial RS-232 adapter…which allows you to connect to a serial port…from a “universal” serial bus.
I’m now seeing USB C variants lol.
Also I love your username.
3 cats with a litter robot 3 after 3 years. It’s great, easy to repair and parts are available. Save your money and buy a litter bot 3. The 4 has some improvements (it’s quieter) but has some new flaws and a pretty stiff price increase.
Also check out one man six cats on YouTube who has been doing a litter bot mega test of all kinds of brands/styles with his 7 (yes 7) cats.
Album cover material.
I have the regular arkfeld and it’s been a solid ass flashlight. I mean it is always ready, takes a beating, shrugs off water (even underwater) worth every penny. I kinda want to get the one with a UV light instead of the laser I currently have.
Ex-trucker here all you gotta do is Pay us more Respect us Idk make the job suck less? Pay us more
Look I make as much sitting at a desk doing nothing all day than I did hauling flatbed. Hilariously when I need to drive somewhere for work I get paid more per mile (.65¢ vs .45¢) than I did driving a truck.
I was looking at the possibility of getting a base model Maverick hybrid as it would satisfy 99% of my truck needs while not gulping fuel. One day I noticed that the default engine was no longer the hybrid, this was the day they added the 2024 models which the hybrid varient of now is 5k more than “last year”.
Feels like a slap in the face, guess I’ll keep fixing my 2011, and 1991 vehicles.
In a nutshell (eli5) swap is sorta “very slow ram” which is actually just a section of your hard drive /SSD/some other bizarre medium. It is generally used to temporarily store information that might be needed later but would waste valuable “fast ram” which is your actual ram sticks.
What’s going on here is this user mounted Google drive in a way that the operating system can interact more directly with it, and it appears to have a set amount of space. Because we’ve mounted Google Drive we can tell our operating system to use it as swap…very very slow silly swap, but swap nonetheless.
So that’s exactly what they did, they told the operating system to set aside X amount of Google Drive for swap, and when looking at the resource monitor we can see the “swap” appears as “more ram”.
Hope that helps, please ask if I confused you :)
Also important to note it’s a tax credit based on how much you’d be taxed in the first place. You may not earn enough to be exempt from 7500 in taxes.
Absolutely min things to swap Gonna need a battery of some kind 3 phase induction motor (probably) Motor speed controller Some sort of battery charger Big inverter for big motor An ecu-like thing to control everything Specifics about how to make this all work in a vehicle will depend wildly on which vehicle. Some basically can have these things bolted on, others require special assemblies to get the power to the wheels somehow.
An ev swap can be (relatively) cheap and simple or wildly expensive and difficult just depends on your goals.
Most of the parts I mentioned are available as off the shelf components and sometimes even as a swap kit.
Yes you technically can. POE to Usb-c 5v adapters exist but they’re mostly intended for powering an SBC and in my experience they struggle with the current even an SBC can pull.
I can comfortably ride a motorcycle in February…granted I’m in Texas but even here it normally is quite cold around this time and instead we have 75° days.
I can’t wait to move back wayyyyyy the fuck North.
